The Power of The Subconscious
What is the Subconscious Mind?
It is a well-established fact that our conscious experiences and thoughts are only the tip of the iceberg of our mind. Our psyche is deep, and has many different processes going on every minute. Our subconscious is always active and absorbing information, even if we are not actively aware of it.
The Mission for the Post From Rizer Media is that with the implementation of this information, you will be able to transform your life in an immediate and sustainable way, to have the bandwidth and discipline to tackle the problems and challenges that call to your highest desire, or to live your truest passion.
The patterns and programming vested within our subconscious, or paradigms, are regarded as one of the most impactful physiological fabrics controlling our behaviors, motivations, and actions.
What is a Paradigm?
There are many definitions for paradigms. Covey, from Seven Habits of Highly Successful people, refers to paradigms as a personal belief map.
Bob Proctor, who has been considered the greatest speakers in the world on the topic of Wealth and the Law of Attraction defines paradigms as a multitude of habits that live in your subconscious mind. I believe it’s a combination of both.
A professor from Texas A&M uses a great metaphor to explain it: “I like to compare our paradigms to the lenses of our world.
We all have the same hardware (human bodies), running with different software (thoughts, motivations, perspectives, emotions).
How you utilize your software can be the differentiating factor to your achievement levels, and tuning this skill can alleviate a lot of existing blockages.
We will take a deep dive into the subconscious and bring awareness to a process that is largely unrecognized in its importance.
How Your Subconscious Absorbs Programming
The operating system that our brain runs with, has the ability to be updated and changed, similarly to software on a computer. Most of this programming occurs as a child, when there is little conditioning. The experiences one has within this formative time usually show themselves throughout the character traits of that person.
Becoming aware of your paradigms, allows you to shift them, or magnify them.
The subconscious doesn’t just change the way in which you perceive situations but also the way you act on a daily basis.

For instance, consider a person whose subconscious is surrounded by scarcity of money. This will lead to a shift in behavior because the person will implant images of frugality, fear, and anxiety into their subconscious belief system.
This person will be slow to take on risks, and act in a timid manner.
On the other hand, the person who is surrounded by optimism, abundance, and encouragement see the world in an entirely unique lenses.
The images and situations that we hold and replay become the way we see the world, and this will lead to a reinforced pattern of behavior.
The mind and body are closely related, and the various processes that occur in each spectrum affect the others. Once we have the ability to control our conscious mind, we can implant mental images of what we desire into our subconscious, control our emotions, and be propelled into action.
How do we Break the Negative Patterns of Our Subconscious Mind?
By shaping our mind, we shape our energy and actions, which shape our reality. So what are the best ways to do this?
1. Gain Momentum with the Completion of a Small Task
Adopt a positive mindset in the here and the now, while immediately locating and rejecting negative self-talk. Write these repetitive patterns down.
Focus on something you are absolutely grateful for. Bring back a success or a joyful experience. Your goal here is to do something that will give you a small accomplishment and boost your momentum.
Practice saying – “I am on a Winning Streak” and saying “This is an Easy Task”.
A great idea is to clean your desk or just a single drawer. Or have a quick and effective workout and journal your state shift.
2. Combine repetition and emotional connection.
Repetition is the same way that you learned your name. Each time you think thoughts or complete actions that bring you happiness, or successfully see your goals being met, connect an extreme emotional response. Feel a rush of happiness and hold it. Continually surround yourself with inspirational texts, literature, speeches, and videos. This repetition will start to install positive thought patterns.
When you visualize your specific tangible dreams, with repetition, your subconscious mind will accept the image, and you will be met with results. Remember, your subconscious accepts what you really believe to be true, not just what you pretend to be true. So feel your success and give yourself permission to accept that.
3. Implement Cold Showers.
Cold showers are incredible for taking control of your mind, and it’s negative weaknesses. This may be one of the most painful things to do in the morning, but that’s essentially the goal. Every challenge throughout the day will feel much easier. Cold showers also have medical benefits for the body.
This task will also provide a sense of momentum that will break any negative thought loops.
4. Practice Saying “It’s Okay” Regarding the Emotions You Feel
In the book, “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck”, the author, Mark Manson, mentions the idea of a “Negative Thought Loop From Hell.” Basically what this means, is when you feel a negative emotion, the act noticing that emotion, then creates more negative feelings, and so on.
The key to breaking this thought loop is to practice saying “It’s Okay”. This means, saying it’s okay to feel the feelings you are experiencing. The act of accepting this current emotion as a passing feeling, will break the thought loop and you will instantly feel the break of the thought pattern.
